Luminesque came together through a mutually inspired group of friends in the desire to bring dreams to life, and to the stage. Our members all have a background in theatre, dance, performance, and/or circus arts. We are proud to feature this collection of talent in classical as well as cutting edge underground movement art. We are taking it from the studio, the late night casbah, the underground fire movement, and the old style cirque and blending it into one, solid expression.
A multitude of fire tools are employed in harmony with the dance, including fire swords, fire hoops, poi, staffs, fire fans, whip chains, fire fingers, candles, parasols, and more. A stunning array of movement disciplines have been
choreographed and incorporated to accentuate the prayer of fire, through belly dancing, ballet, contortion, modern dance, and mixed martial arts.
To highlight the heavens, aerial silks, trapeze, and stilting fill the sky.
